Transnational Knowledge Exchange and Cooperation:

Within the framework of the “Transnational Knowledge Exchange” an exchange of experience about the following topics and questions will be organised:

  • Touristical Innovation: development and marketing of innovative offers
  • Agricultural Innovation: product development - marketing - logistics
  • Social affairs/social diversity: the impact of social affairs questions and social diversity for a lasting rural development
  • Cultural Innovation: a basis for regional identity, quality of life and innovation

Due to the fact that every LEADER team will take part with 2-3 participants, all LAGs have the chance to attend every presentation and every working group with at least one person. Herewith, every LAG can profit of a Transnational Knowledge Exchange of 11 hours.

Procedure:

The “Transnational Knowledge Exchange” consists of two elements: Project Presentation and Workshops.

Project Presentation: Innovative Projects

In the beginning one successful innovative project on each topic will be presented. The exemplary projects are Best Practice projects from Austrian LEADER Areas.

Workshops: Transnational Work Groups

After the Project Presentation transnational workgroups will be formed (5 - 10 people per work group). The work groups will go deeper into the four topics in the following forms:

Reflection:

The participants in the work group reflect on the process and the results of the presented project.

Own Experiences:

The participants report about projects and experiences they have had in their LEADER-Region.

Success Factors:

The participants compile concrete success factors for projects in a certain topic area.

Transnational Cooperation Project:

On March 15th from 7.00-8.00pm the European Network Unit will present tools for transnational cooperation. Furthermore, they will offer an info-point, which will be available for the participants throughout the whole event. At this info-point participants can get answers from experts to their questions regarding transnational cooperation. Moreover, one can search for partners for transnational projects at the info-point or join an already existing project.

It will be determined who is interested in working on a transnational cooperation project at the end of every workshop. A partner will be specified for every potential cooperation project and will be made responsible for the next steps (e.g.: substantiation of the project idea, invitation to a Start Workshop for the development of a project proposal).
